MISTER NEUTRON: The Tunes

POINT PLEASANT

(Mister Neutron)
2008
Music by Damian Fanelli
This one is named after Point Pleasant, N.J, a fun summer town in Ocean County at the Shore. This song doesn't really conjure "summer" Point Pleasant; it's more like Point Pleasant in early May, just before the season kicks in. When I interviewed Slacktone's Dave Wronski for a story that appeared in the February 2008 issue of Vintage Guitar magazine, he tipped me off to the concept of re-wiring my Strat so that the middle-pickup switch uses the neck and bridge pickups at the same time. This song really shows off that sound, as do a few others on NOR'EASTER.
